How to Choose a Mandala Workshop
The artists and therapists found here dedicate themselves to lending both their art and their knowledge to others, each with a particular point-of-view. The choice of a Mandala workshop is very personal, and for this reason, it is important to listen to our interiors and allow ourselves to be guided by intuition and emotion. Going over the works and texts of the artists while keeping in mind where the courses are held, you may discover which course is best for you, beginning to walk down the path of self-knowing and healing that working with Mandalas brings.
Feel free to browse through our artists´ various works and texts displayed below along with their personal websites. Keeping in mind where courses are held, discover which class attracts you the most and set off on the path of self-awareness and healing that comes from working with Mandalas. We wish you all the best!

Artists and Therapists:

Melina Litauer
Once more I allow myself to open the door.
Expression is present, resonating in my pupils.
I know that in my center we all reside; it is the meeting place in which all hearts come together and we are one.
I know that when I open my treasure chest, you recognize yourself.
Therefore, I show you and me in my Mandalas, inviting you to share the essence that makes us family.
I open the door … dinner is served.
Melina Litauer received training in several studios with Demetrio Urruchúa, Sonia Labraña and Iris Nó. She studied engraving in a workshop with Alfredo de Vincenzo, coordinated by Silvia Rocca. She has created both individual and collective works. Litauer believes that the Mandala has permitted her to express the new findings of her interior.

Laura Podio
The world in which we live is filled with objects and stimuli. We often feel attacked by the exuberance of its activity.
The Mandala invites us to unite energies in a circular dance, allowing ourselves to move like little leaves in the wind, to flow like the waters of a spring … The greatest challenge is to perceive unity in diversity. We must allow ourselves to be guided on this path by the sacred tool of the Mandala…
In her Palermo studio, Laura Podio works with Mandalas in her art therapy classes. She also carries out her own personal investigation of Mandalas, Tibetan and Hindu art and archetypical symbology.

Marta Shiráh Lagos
To me, this Mandala represents the farthest bright star my mind can see.
The Eastern Star is the portal to the sky through which I enter and exist in order to acquire knowledge of the universe and with all humility bring peace to my world and to my life.
Currently, Marta Shiráh Lagos accompanies the souls that wish to express themselves with this sacred instrument, the Mandala, in her studio. With the experience and discipline of daily meditation, this practice becomes a personal path of discovery of one’s own internal potential. Marta calls this temple-studio the “Community of Artists that Paint Mandalas.”

Mandala: Ventana Mística (Mystic Window)

From the window of my studio, I imagine the point, the circle, and I remember a phrase from Buddha, who lived and taught the doctrine of the Nirvana of nothingness: “If you orient your heart towards that only point (the center), nothing is impossible.” From this surges the idea of the mystical Mandala.
Ana Abramian is an artist with an ample formation. She teaches drawing, painting and Mandalas in her Belgrano studio in Las Cañitas, specializing in techniques for developing creativity.

Giant Labyrinths:
Meditation in a Giant Mandala (The Labyrinth of Chartres) takes place the last Wednesday of every month from April to November at 9:00 p.m. at Cabildo 2720 on the 11th floor.

Tracing with one finger or both hands simultaneously the paths of a three-dimensional maze, experiencing the physical body as a Mandala and personal consciousness as the center of the Universe, being amazed by the experience of seeing one’s own image reflected in an infinite Mandala within an octagonal chamber of mirrors, traveling through labyrinths of meditation constructed with sacred geometry, physically breaking through into gigantic Mandalas like the Tibetan Wheel of Life – these are experiences that connect us with the field of being.

Especially in these turbulent times in which life is constantly becoming more and more accelerated, these sacred tools of transformation facilitate the opening-up of our consciousnesses to the vision of unity. They are instruments that serve in the healing of fragmentation. They extend a clear vision of reality as an interconnected all that is full of meaning. With this comprehension, love emerges spontaneously and violence diminishes or disappears, for it is impossible for one part of the organism to have the specific purpose of harming another.

The perception of the consciousness of unity underlying all things allows for the emergence of sentiments of love, solidarity and caring for humanity and the planet. It reminds us of our responsibility to promote peace in the communities in which we live.

Working with Mandalas helps us to discover the cosmos in the middle of so much chaos. It opens the doors of the soul that connect us to the universal spirit.

One of the keys to opening these doors is silence – silence to listen and to be listened to. Learning to be in silence is an art. This silence, however, is not simply external – one must also learn to maintain the heart and mind silent as well.

In silence, we can cultivate a non-judgmental, uncritical internal attitude: an impersonal witness able to observe us with curiosity and love. It accompanies us in our journeys and in our processes. It is a mirror of ourselves that serves to convert us into more real and conscious beings.

In silence, we connect with our innate joy. In the utilization of the tools of the transformation of consciousness, there are no rules, there is no how-to guide. Each individual must be his or her own teacher and is free to experiment. This permits the blooming of one’s own creativity and joy. It does not depend upon the satisfaction of desires and needs. This joy is the joy of living and being, the joy of having contact with one’s own essential humanity.

Lic. Ana Inés de Avruj

Corina Miguel upon request, creates Mandalas of the soul. Whether unitary or synastry (in relationships), her works serve as tools in the path of self-discovery, for they are based upon the astro-natal charts of those who solicit them. They are a reflection of the unique of energies of one´s personal holograms, expressed through color vibrations. Miguel´s creations emanate and radiate the energies they represent, inviting us to become conscious of them and integrate them in order to become more self-aware and complete beings.

Adriana Mabel Cheyllada
The necessity to express myself through art grew more and more inside of me. But what kind of art? Painting? Drawing? I began to search out something different, something unconventional. Thoughts and desires are magical: the mystery of Mandalas arrived. But where could I study these little-known techniques? I researched the subject, going from bookstore to bookstore. After a few days, I received an e-mail invitation to a Mandala workshop. Incredible! That was how I started out on this marvelous path with the help of my mentor, awakening the artist inside of me.
I approached the first encounter timidly. With time, I came to understand that in that first work, entitled Love, my once-dormant seed of artistry had been waiting to be called to wake.
As of that moment, the seed began to grow. I began to discover and understand a new language: that of images, shapes, colors, geometry and messages…
I began to release my emotions and feelings, discovering during this beautiful journey my internal paradise.
I experimented with the seduction and the connection between the Mandala and my being. Together, they helped me to take off in an infinite flight towards liberty.
Mandalas help us to hear and express our souls, for only then are we able to begin to heal. Working with Mandalas is a state of meditation, calm, joy and love: a great spring.
Out of this magical ring, the Mandala, surges a great inexhaustible force: the force of the universe.
